Conga warm-up and basic practice
Part 1: Warming up (& training) for forearms, wrists, and knuckles
In the case of conga and bongos, the first thing that matters is this so-called heel and toe.
To be able to control the movement of this unnatural, unnatural handedness and move it accurately.
It's one of the absolutely important movements when playing salsa-like music, but when I encountered a certain task, I spent a lot of time working on it with the double stroke that I will introduce later.
I think it's a good idea to take time (days) little by little from a slow tempo of BPM = 60 or 70, and train aiming for BPM = 90 first.
It's not just fluttering and 90, but 90 with a shape that firmly accents the back (finger side).
At first, your forearm hurts quickly, but if you do it well, Tumbao will improve dramatically, so in the long run, do it without being discouraged.
By the way, all videos except 3'have BPM = 90.
